| Abstract | The purpose of this study is to suggest an improved liquid desiccant and evaporative cooling assisted 100% outdoor air system (LD-IDECOAS) by using dew point evaporative cooling technology. In our previous studies, the LD-IDECOAS, which has the advantages of both variable air volume (VAV) and dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS), was installed and operated, and it could condition a space without using vapor compression system. In this study, a new system is proposed to improve some limitations found in previous studies by using a dew point evaporative cooler and a membrane enthalpy exchanger to enhance cooling performance. In this paper, the overall configurations, operational characteristics and advantages of suggested system will be presented. |
