| Abstract | This study empirically investigates the winter operating performance of a liquid-desiccant system integrated with a heat pumpcompared to a conventional heating and humidification system, consisting of an energy recovery ventilator, electric heat pump, andevaporative humidifier. The proposed system achieves 95% indoor thermal comfort satisfaction, primarily attributed to its superiorhumidification performance. Thus, the proposed system is estimated to save operating energy consumed to maintain indoor thermalcomfort for an hour by 16.5% through the recovery of waste heat from the condensation heat of the heat pump. |
