| Abstract | This study proposes an algorithm for predicting occupant-preferred cooling environments to enable automatic air-conditioner control in residential environments. Conventional PMV PPD models have difficulty reflecting individual characteristics, and measuring is practically –infeasible. An artificial neural network (ANN) model was developed using indoor environmental data and air-conditioner control histories to predict the preferred temperature range under cooling conditions. The algorithm was developed through occupant experiments analyzing control behavior and thermal responses, and was validated in an actual residence environment, confirming occupant responsiveness. This study contributes to the development of practical occupant-centered automatic cooling control technology for residential environments. |
