| Abstract | Condensation in un-conditioned indoor spaces has been a persistent issue since the 1980s, especially after the 1990s due to balcony extensions. These conditions increased the risk of condensation at thermal bridges, emphasizing the need for better insulation and ventilation. Passive insulation methods have limitations in responding to fluctuating environmental conditions. This study tested a thermoelectric-based active system for preventing condensation in buildings. Experiments using an environmental chamber and aluminum wall panel confirmed effective condensation suppression. The system also showed high energy efficiency (COP: 0.64–27.08), supporting its potential for practical building applications. |
