AbstractTo enhance energy efficiency in multi-family residential buildings, this study proposes a centralized heat source supply air-conditioning system that supplies stable temperature water to individual heat pumps in each household. A simulation was conducted for a 50 unit apartment complex, comparing the proposed system with a conventional individual air-source heat pump system. The results indicated that the proposed system reduced annual energy consumption by approximately 18.4% and improved heat pump performance of coefficient (COP) by lowering compression ratio. These findings suggest that the proposed system can be an effective alternative for improving energy efficiency in multi-family residential buildings. Furthermore, additional energy savings could be expected by integrating renewable heat sources into the centralized heat pump system in future applications.
