| Abstract | Building insulation has been traditionally achieved through passive strategies that minimize heat transfer by utilizing materials with high thermal resistance. Although various high-efficiency insulation materials have been developed, the complete elimination of heat loss through the building envelope remains a challenge. To address the limitations of conventional systems, this study suggests an active thermal insulation system that incorporates thermo-electric modules to enable dynamic insulation control. To evaluate the applicability of the proposed system, an energy simulation was conducted using the ECO2-OD program. The application of the thermoelectric insulation panel system resulted in an approximate 13% reduction in space heating demand, demonstrating its potential effectiveness in improving energy performance. |
