Abstract | The purpose of this study is to improve the dehumidification performance of the liquid desiccant system based on the mist-atomization of the solution. The counter-flow type dehumidifier was proposed and compared with the reference cross-flow type dehumidifier. The humidity ratio difference and dehumidification effectiveness were evaluated. The experimental results indicated that the counter-flow type has a 0.006 kg/kg humidity ratio difference, while the cross-flow type has a 0.002 kg/kg. The counter-flow type and cross-flow type dehumidifiers also showed about 0.42 and 0.16 dehumidification effectiveness, respectively. Finally, the dehumidification performance was improved by 62% in the proposed counter-flow type dehumidifier compared to the reference cross-flow type dehumidifier. |
