Abstract | In this study, an energy harvesting wall was manufactured and power generation performance was analyzed, The energy harvesting wall was manufactured by combining 16 energy harvesting blocks consisting of thermoelectric generators, phase change material, and heat pins. The energy harvesting block casing and frame were made of aluminum for easy assembly, and each energy harvesting block and frame were fixed using pins and headless bolts. The experiment was conducted in September on the rooftop of Hanyang University, and the temperature inside the energy harvestting wall and the generated voltage were measured with a data logger. As a result, it was confirmed that it was possible to generate voltage 24 hours a day, and the maximum voltage generated was measured to be 7.2 V. Therefore, sufficient power required to operate IoT sensors and controllers within the building can be supplied. |
