| Abstract | This study proposes a cooling system that applies a liquid desiccant system to the free cooling system for data center cooling. While the free cooling system has the advantage of lower energy consumption than traditional cooling systems, it can suffer from performance degradation in hot and humid climates. The proposed system is a liquid desiccant based cooling system applied to the cooling tower, which improves the cooling tower's performance and efficiently saves cooling energy in hot and humid climates. The proposed system uses lower cooling energy than the reference system, and as a result, it also helps reduce pPUE compared to the reference system.
