Abstract | Dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) introduce 100% outdoor air into building to enhance ventilation and control humidity of inner space. According to usage and ambient condition, various DOAS configurations exist. Therefor, purpose of this paper is to find appropriate DOAS configurations for 3 sites in korea and analyse energy saving potentials. 6 DOAS configurations were collected to compare energy consumptions in Seoul, Kangneung and Mokpo. With building loads from TRNSYS 17 program using TMY2, energy consumptions of heating coil, chiller and fans were calculated in addition to sensible loads of DOAS and parallel cooling system according to operation modes of each configuration. As a result, appropriate DOAS configuration for each site's condition derived. |
